The images in my gallery were created and rendered using Bryce, Poser, Rhino, and 3DSMax. I create most of my own models and textures, but I'm very grateful to the talented folks who make and share 3D models. I use Photoshop and Painter for finishing touches, special effects and the like.
I started creating computer art on my Mother's Apple II in 1982-3. I had always loved to draw and drawing on the computer seemed very natural to me. I've been doing digital design and artwork since then. I started using Bryce a few years ago and that has led to learning othe 3D programs.
I strive to create images that make the viewer want to step into them to see what is around the corner or behind the door. I carefully consider coloration and composition. I try to create highly detailed, believable environments. Even the most surreal of my pieces usually has realistic textures and lighting.
I live and work in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, USA.
